RAMMB UPDATE AND REQUEST FOR WEBSITE HELP

Our neighborhoods remain at risk of catastrophic fires in large part due to the overgrown, unmaintained Caltrans Devil’s Slide Bypass Right of Way (ROW). It has been exactly one week since Caltrans told me that a landscape contractor crew was clearing brush, fallen limbs, bark, and other debris from the ROW. They told me they would get back to me with the location as soon as possible. They have not done so, and no one has reported any sightings of a crew. This is just one example of a worrisome credibility gap between Caltrans and the community.

RAMMB is an entirely grassroots organization with five very hard-working steering committee members and about 100 people on our Nextdoor Group. We need a fully functional website to keep the community and press informed, provide the community with links to resources pertinent to our issue, and recruit new members to join us. If you have the time and experience to help us develop and maintain a website, we would greatly appreciate your help. Please PM me if you’re interested in helping with our efforts to keep Montara, Moss Beach, and the San Mateo Midcoast safe from catastrophic fires. –Larry De Young.
