Who Are We?



RAMMB (Red Alert Montara, Moss Beach) is a grassroots community group dedicated to working together to prevent a wildfire disaster here in San Mateo County, such as the ones in Lahaina, Paradise, or the Palisades. The neglected Caltrans Devil’s Slide Bypass Right-of-Way currently presents a significant risk.

  • Update July 1 – Caltrans Project Expanded Region

    This video was taken from Elm looking towards Date Street. Caltrans’ contractors are doing a lot more clearing than just their originally stated 15’ from their property line. I believe CalFire has ordered the additional vegetation management. Bottom line is this exceeds expectations.

  • Update May 20 – Caltrans Project Underway!

    Caltrans contractors are on the ROW clearing underbrush and cutting saplings up to 2″. This is the first step in their work. After that phase is accomplished, they will start clearing trees.
