Recently, RAMMB members have inundated Caltrans with complaints. As a result, Caltrans has informed us that their Environmental Division is working with Caltrans to “assess” the ROW situation. We believe an assessment is not good enough, as Calfire has already assessed the ROW as Very High Risk. Governor Newsom has recently suspended CEQA and the Coastal Commission Review of fire reduction projects in severe zones. We want Caltrans to institute a plan to clear the ROW immediately.
